-------------------------------------------------------------------

What exactly is a brand anyway?

From an early age we make thousands of choices that ultimately decide what kind of person we will be. Whether we will be good or bad, trustworthy or unreliable, unkind or responsible, hardworking or lazy. Everything we do and the way we act along with our appearance will give an outward impression to others. This is how we define our own reputation, and it can determine how successful we become in life. For a company it’s exactly the same, and we call it a brand.

It’s important to know the difference between identity and branding, to understand what makes a successful brand.

Branding is not about trying to get potential clients to choose you over competition, it’s about getting your audience to see you as the only solution to their problem. It’s not about you. It’s not about your product. It’s not about your service. It’s about them.

Advertising grabs their minds, branding takes their hearts.

Standing out from a crowd is easy, but you need good reason to do so. Your logo gives your business the recognizable face to the world, but it’s what people think when they see your logo that is important. Your logo carries your reputation for reliability and trust that may take years to build. It is important to convey all aspects of your brand with positive, clear communication.

You can’t afford to be complacent. Your reputation or brand has its foundations in the quality of the things you make and the services you provide. A brand is only as good as the reputation that builds it. If the branding is wrong, so is everything else.

Build a successful brand from your strengths.

As a business you set yourselves tough targets to make the best possible impression to customers and clients. This impression is based not just on your products or services, or your identity but also on the customers impression of every one of your staff. The brand begins in the business plan, build a successful brand from your strengths. If one part of your actions falls below the standard that your customers expect, then their overall perception is affected.

“It’s not about you. -------------------------------------------------------------------

brands can have a significant impact on your business-customer relationship

Logorunner Design

Logorunner Design Studio Branding that works | Logorunner Design Studio |
-------------------------------------------------------------------

A brand is the public image and perception of a business. It is the face a company is putting out for everyone to see, and quite often it is what the public will derive first impressions from. If a business goes through a bad time, a brand can be tarnished, and if business is booming, a brand can be the mark of success. When people see a familiar brand on a product or service, they’re more comfortable about what they’re getting.

It’s no longer a secret that brands can have a significant impact on your business-customer relationship and if your company doesn’t have a brand already, you should put serious thought into having a good one. So, you already have a market identity but how well does your brand represent your business?

One factor you have to determine is whether or not your brand is working for your business, do people readily recognize and easily associate with your company. In addition to this, when you print your stationery, flyers or brochures, along with anything else you’re sending out, does it have your branding and appropriately used?

If the answer to these questions is no then maybe you aren’t marketing appropriately. Having a great business isn’t the only way to boost your brand.

Today, most businesses have a very distinguished logo and maybe a well known tag line for an overall stand-out brand. People can recognize your business identity before they even experience the products or services you provide. Using good commercial printing to send out various advertisements in mass is a great way to get people talking about your business and the brand it carries.

Your brand’s effectiveness is also determined if your company is targeting the right type of audience. Find out who needs your services the most and then send them postcards or brochures in order to cultivate a familiarity between your business, your brand and their needs. The ultimate goal is to make your brand name synonymous with the industry your company excels at, something a business can only accomplish if they’re regularly making their presence known with consistent advertisements.

A successful brand is one of the most important elements a company should put thought into if they wish to establish a sound presence in their industry.

Logorunner Design
